                   This restaurant, Aquavit, once Nelson Rockerfeller’s town house,
                   is where he died while making love to his mistress, Meghan Marshck.

              Cafe des Artistes, Central P.W. 67th 212-877-3500, Continental

                 Once the studio of a struggling artist; Cafe des Artistes has walls which
                are adorned with murals depicting nude females. Former NYC Mayor
                     John V. Lindsay, who knicknamed our town "fun city" lives in this building.

                      Hudson River Club, WFC, Vessy St. 212-786-1500, Original American

                  Emphasis at Hudson River Club is on the bounty of the Hudson - NY State
                      fresh/local ingredients in striking presentations. Quite expensive, professional.

             Les Celebrities, 58th bet 6th & 7th 212-484-5113, Classic French

             An intimate restaurant, Les Celebrities features paintings by celebrities
             such as Billy De Williams, Peggy Lee (for sale at approximatly $40,000.)

         Lespinasse, 55th bet. Mad & 5th 212-339-6719, French/Asian

       This restaurant is in the St. Regis Hotel.

March, 58th bet. 1st & Sutton 212-754-6272, Eclectic American

           The wine list is wonderful. Joseph Scalese, a partner at March
             will help you select. Wayne Nish (chef, partner) is part Japanese

            Matthew's, 61st & 3rd 212-838-4343, Hip American

                         Matthew’s is not as established as the others on this list, but it's really happinin!

         Periyali, 20th bet 5th & 6th 212-463-7890, Eclectic Greek

               Mykonos in NY at Peralyi, Mediterranean seafood etc., - delicious!

         Raphael, 54th bet. 5th & 6th 212-582-8993, Classic French

       Romantic - that's the best word to describe Restaurant Raphael.

              San Dominico, Central P.W. nr. 59th, 212-265-5959, Classic Italian.
        In my opinion San Dominico is the finest Italian Restaurant in NY
     (2nd to Alfonso/Bay Ridge B’Klyn - owned by St. John)

          Zarela, 2nd Av. bet. 50th & 51st, 212-644-6740, Classic Mexican

                  Not to be confused with Tex-Mex, Zarela is amazing! She's made her
                   establishment the best Mexican restaurant on the east coast!
